SUSPECT IN CUSTODY: Great Work by Ramapo Police Leads to Arrest in Road Rage and Assault Cases

As Monsey Scoop previously reported, Ramapo Police have taken into custody a suspect believed to be responsible for multiple violent incidents across Airmont and Chestnut Ridge.

On October 17, RPD responded to a reported road rage incident in the Village of Airmont, during which the suspect allegedly threatened occupants of another vehicle with a knife before fleeing the scene.

Then, on November 26, the same individual allegedly carried out two additional unprovoked assaults. In the first, a male victim sitting inside his vehicle in Chestnut Ridge was approached and punched several times. Moments later, the suspect encountered another male walking in the Village of Airmont and assaulted him as well.

RPD detectives identified the suspect, who turned himself in on Friday. He is currently being processed and is expected to face multiple charges, including Menacing, Assault, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. Arraignment is expected later today.

Further information will be released following the arraignment.

  1. This dangrous individual has a long history of violance, and being a great danger to the public.
At only age 19 he’s been arrested for slashing a victim in the throat, face, and abdomin with the victim having only miracleously survived.
Still he’s out at large roaming the streets and posing a serious threat to the public.
We must demant rigorous prosecution by law enforcment and not wait until this repeat offender slaugthers or lights soeone on fire on the train.

“It’s also appalling that the house he lives in is owned by a heimish landlord in the peaceful Airmont community, where many families with young children don’t feel safe knowing who their neighbor is.”

  2. This post is not accurate. He is not in custody and was free to go without bail. People please beware that he is at loose and free to repeat. All these assaults happened with no prior contact or provocation by the victims. He drives a red BMW and Rustic Drive in Airmont.

  3. How “great” is the work of RPD if the suspect turned himself in on his own? just asking… I guess they recieve credit for acccepting his turning in…
