Suspect Apprehended In Clarkstown Following Multi-Agency Vehicle Pursuit from Montvale, NJ

The Clarkstown Police Department responded to an urgent call for assistance from the Montvale Police Department at approximately 7:50 pm on Saturday evening. The Montvale PD requested support during a pursuit of a vehicle linked to burglary suspects from their area. The pursuit came to a conclusion near Lake Nanuet Road and Pittsford Way in Nanuet, New York, as reported by Monsey Scoop on our social media platforms last night.

Upon reaching the scene, Montvale officers reported that three suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Clarkstown Police swiftly joined the search efforts, deploying their UAV Drone Unit and K9 teams to aid in locating the individuals. Despite extensive collaboration with multiple local and state law enforcement agencies, two suspects, both males wearing dark clothing, remain at large.

One individual, identified as 27-year-old Jacob A. Ortega-Espinoza, who has no fixed address, was apprehended shortly after the vehicle was abandoned. Ortega-Espinoza faces several charges, including fugitive from justice, criminal mischief, and criminal trespass. He is currently in custody at the Clarkstown Police headquarters, awaiting arraignment.

The Clarkstown Police Department expressed gratitude to residents and assisting agencies for their support and teamwork throughout the incident. Community members with information related to the two remaining suspects or further details on the incident are encouraged to contact Clarkstown PD at (845) 639-5856.
