Suffern Police Department and Rockland County Sheriff’s Office to Host Community Gun Buyback Event Next Tuesday

On Tuesday  October 15, 2024, the Suffern Police Department, in collaboration with the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, will be holding a Community Gun Buyback event. The initiative aims to provide a safe and secure way for residents to surrender unwanted firearms. The event will take place at the Leo L. Lydon Building, located at 118 Yorkshire Drive in Suffern, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Residents interested in participating are encouraged to review the official guidelines on the event flyer for proper firearm transport and details on payments for surrendered weapons. This program is part of ongoing efforts to promote public safety within the community.
