Suffern Community Mourns the Loss of Building Inspector Cyril P. Geoghegan

The Village of Suffern is in mourning following the passing of Building Inspector Cyril P. Geoghegan. A respected member of the community, Mr. Geoghegan was known for his extensive knowledge and kind nature.

Originally from Ireland, Mr. Geoghegan immigrated to the United States and spent many years honing his skills as a carpenter. His dedication to the craft eventually led him to become Suffern’s Building Inspector a year and a half ago. In this role, he quickly earned a reputation for his expertise and warm personality.

The Suffern Police Department, elected officials, fellow Village employees, and community members have expressed their condolences and support for Mr. Geoghegan’s family. He is survived by his five children and six grandchildren.
