Earlier today, a structure fire broke out at Blue Rill Day Camp located at 444 Saddle River Road. The fire, which was caused by an electrical malfunction, prompted a substantial emergency response from multiple fire departments and emergency personnel.
The Monsey Fire Department led the efforts, with mutual aid from several surrounding fire departments, including South Spring Valley Fire Department, Hillcrest Fire Department, Tallman Fire Department, Suffern Fire Department, and Pearl River Fire Department. In addition to the fire departments, the Ramapo Police, William P. Faist EMS, and other emergency personnel were on the scene.
The swift and coordinated response of the various departments and agencies involved was crucial in managing the fire and mitigating further damage. The situation remains under investigation as officials work to determine the full extent of the fire’s impact and ensure the safety of the area.
