A serious rollover crash occurred on Friday at approximately 5:50 PM on North Liberty Drive near Adams Drive in Stony Point, after a vehicle plunged into an embankment, overturned, and came to rest on its roof in a stream.
Emergency personnel arrived quickly. Stony Point Police immediately requested Stony Point EMS to expedite after finding the sole occupant unresponsive. Stony Point Fire Dept confirmed the victim was trapped inside the overturned vehicle.
Southbound Route 9W was shut down, with traffic diverted up Wayne Avenue as firefighters worked to extricate the occupant. The patient was successfully freed and transported by Paramedics for urgent medical care.
