Stony Point Police Report Multiple Arrests for Drug Possession, Theft, and Disorderly Conduct

The Stony Point Police Department has announced several recent arrests involving charges ranging from drug possession and grand larceny to obstructing government operations.

On November 27, 2024, officers conducted a vehicle stop on Willow Grove Road, where Steven Hollar, 61, of Hillsdale, NJ, was a passenger. A check revealed Hollar had an active bench warrant from the Town of Clarkstown for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. During the stop, Hollar admitted to possessing narcotics and a pipe. A search produced several bundles of heroin and an additional “brick” of heroin, with a total weight of 21.4 grams. Hollar was processed, released with an appearance ticket for December 5, and turned over to the Clarkstown Police Department for the warrant.

On December 1, 2024, officers responded to a domestic dispute call at approximately 4:35 AM. The caller reported that her ex-boyfriend, Ronald Fadul, 33, of Pomona, NY, was on his way to the residence and had made threats. Upon arrival, officers located Fadul outside the home. Investigations confirmed he had sent threatening messages regarding his shared daughter. During an inventory search of Fadul’s vehicle, officers recovered 19.2 grams of cocaine. Fadul was charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated harassment in the second degree. Due to previous felony convictions, Fadul was remanded to the Rockland County Jail.

On December 6, 2024, during the Town of Stony Point Holiday Parade, police arrested Cammeron Truesdale, 41, of Stony Point, NY, for obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. At approximately 7:35 PM, Truesdale confronted officers at a road closure, arguing about restricted access to his residence. He engaged in disruptive and violent behavior, refused to comply with orders, and obstructed traffic. When officers attempted to arrest him, Truesdale resisted by flailing his arms and refusing to be handcuffed. He was issued an appearance ticket for December 19.

On December 10, 2024, officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at the Stony Point Budget Motor Inn. Surveillance footage showed a woman matching the description of Kayla Jones, 36, of the Bronx, NY, entering the vehicle and driving southbound on Route 9W. Jones was later involved in a single-car accident on the Palisades Interstate Parkway. She was transported to Nyack Hospital by ambulance, where officers arrested her for grand larceny in the fourth degree. Jones was issued an appearance ticket for December 17, while New York State Police also filed additional charges related to the accident.

The Stony Point Police Department reminds the public that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. For further information, contact Lt. Daniel Schoales at 845-786-2744.
