Stony Point Police Nab Local Man on Bench Warrant During Unrelated Investigation

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at approximately 4:50 PM, Stony Point Police arrested 42-year-old Emerenciano Defrank of Stony Point, NY, after discovering he had an active bench warrant while on the scene of an unrelated investigation.

Officers recognized Defrank and confirmed the warrant, which was issued by the Stony Point Justice Court for Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree. He was taken into custody, transported to the police station for processing, and subsequently released with an appearance ticket. Defrank is due in court on August 5, 2025, at 9:00 AM.
