The Stony Point Police Department has arrested a 46-year-old West Nyack man in connection with a burglary at a local restaurant on South Liberty Drive.
On August 25, 2025, at approximately 9:35 a.m., officers responded to a report of a past burglary. The business owner told police that upon arriving to open the restaurant, he discovered the cash register had been pried open, with loose change scattered across the floor.
Detectives from the Stony Point Police Bureau, along with the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office BCI, reviewed security footage from the restaurant and nearby locations. The video showed a male suspect using a screwdriver to pry open the cash register before stealing an estimated $300 to $500 and fleeing through the rear door. Investigators determined that the suspect matched the description of an individual wanted in a similar burglary at a Nanuet restaurant.
Working with the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office Intelligence Division and Clarkstown Police Detectives, authorities identified the suspect as Christopher Pascale, 46, of West Nyack, NY. Pascale’s vehicle was located at the Budget Motor Inn in Stony Point, where he was found renting a room under an alias. Detectives set up surveillance and quickly apprehended him without incident as he exited his room.
Pascale was charged with Burglary in the Third Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, and Possession of Burglar Tools. He was processed, arraigned, and remanded to the Rockland County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court on August 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
