Stony Point Man Arrested After Confrontation with Police During Parade Traffic Control

A 41-year-old man was arrested Friday evening during traffic control for at the Stony Point parade after an altercation with police.

Cameron Truesdale was taken into custody at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 6, after reportedly becoming upset about being unable to access his residence due to parade-related road closures.

The situation escalated when Truesdale exited his vehicle and began arguing with an officer in the roadway. Authorities reported that he caused a public safety risk by engaging in violent behavior, creating public alarm, and obstructing vehicular traffic.
