In a ceremony held on Sunday morning, State Senator Bill Weber recognized Seasons Express in New Hempstead with the prestigious Empire Award, celebrating their remarkable contributions to community service in New York State.
The Empire Awards are designed to acknowledge the critical role that small businesses play in the fabric of the New York State community, emphasizing their economic contributions as well as their efforts in fostering a sense of unity and support among residents.
The ceremony was marked by the presence of Village of New Hempstead Mayor Abe Sicker, who nominated Seasons Express for the award. Seasons Express is one of three businesses in the village of New Hempstead. Seasons Express offers free coffee at any given time to first responders, including members of Hatzoloh EMS, Chaverim of Rockland, police, sheriff, EMS members, and firefighters.
Senator Weber told Monsey Scoop, “Seasons Express exemplifies the spirit of community service and dedication that the Empire Award seeks to recognize. Their unwavering support for our first responders is truly commendable and sets a standard for others to follow.”
Mayor Abe Sicker told Monsey Scoop, “Seasons Express is more than just a business; it is a cornerstone of our community. Their generosity towards our first responders is a testament to their dedication and care for New Hempstead.”
In light of this singular honor, Senator Weber’s office encourages the public to participate in nominating local businesses that exemplify outstanding service and dedication to the community for future Empire Awards.
