A Yom HaShoah commemoration was held Thursday afternoon at the Rockland County Courthouse, hosted by the Justice Brandeis Law Society of the 9th Judicial District in partnership with the Holocaust Museum & Center for Tolerance and Education.
The solemn event, titled “Standing Up Against Injustice” took place in the courthouse’s Jurors Room.
Hon. Joseph Zayas, Chief Administrative Judge of New York State, served as keynote speaker, addressing the importance of remembrance, justice, and combating hatred in all forms.
The ceremony brought together legal professionals, community leaders, elected officials and educators to honor the memory of Holocaust victims and reaffirm a shared commitment to justice and tolerance.
