The Spring Valley Police Department has announced the arrest of a local woman in connection with a stabbing that was first reported on Monsey Scoop on August 19.
On August 19, 2025, at approximately 1:15 a.m., officers responded to a reported stabbing near 11 East Church Street. Upon arrival, they located a male victim suffering from multiple lacerations and a stab wound. He was transported by Spring Hill Ambulance to Westchester Medical Center in critical condition.
Following an extensive investigation, police attempted to arrest 30-year-old Spring Valley resident Shanice Ramsay on August 25. Ramsay resisted arrest but was taken into custody after a brief struggle. During the arrest, officers discovered she was in possession of a quantity of fentanyl.

She was arraigned before Judge Mellion of the Spring Valley Justice Court, where bail was set at $5,000 cash, $10,000 secured bond, or $20,000 partially secured bond. Ramsay was remanded to the Rockland County Jail.
Authorities emphasize that a criminal complaint is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
