SPRING VALLEY: Water Delivery Truck Catches Fire at Kennedy Mall

A water delivery truck burst into flames Friday afternoon at approximately 2:00 p.m. at the Kennedy Mall, located at the intersection of Route 59 and Kennedy Drive.

The Spring Valley Fire Department responded to the scene along with mutual aid fire departments from Monsey, Hillcrest, and South Spring Valley. Firefighters quickly worked to extinguish the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby businesses.

The Spring Valley Police Department secured the area and assisted with traffic and crowd control while ensuring the fire did not extend to the adjacent mall strip.

No injuries were reported.
