At approximately 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning, emergency personnel responded to a utility pole and wires on fire at the intersection of Rock Hill Road and Old Nyack Turnpike in Spring Valley.
Ramapo Police, the Spring Valley Fire Department, and Chaverim of Rockland quickly arrived on scene. The fire caused a power outage that impacted homes and businesses throughout the area.
Orange & Rockland Utilities worked overnight to make necessary repairs, and power was fully restored by morning.
