As Pesach approaches, Spring Valley Trustee Yisroel Eisenbach met with representatives from Carlo Minuto Carting to coordinate an enhanced garbage collection schedule to accommodate the seasonal needs of the community.
Following the meeting, it was confirmed that the entire Village of Spring Valley will receive garbage pickup on four consecutive days next week: Wednesday, April 9; Thursday, April 10; Friday, April 11; and Saturday, April 12.
Trustee Eisenbach tells Monsey Scoop, “These extra collections are crucial to helping families prepare for Yom Tov. I strongly encourage residents to place their garbage out as early as possible and not wait until the last minute.”
He also urged residents to show appreciation to the sanitation workers. “These drivers and employees are working very hard and are often overwhelmed this time of year,” Trustee Eisenbach tells Monsey Scoop. “Tipping them is a simple way to show hakaras hatov and create a Kiddush Hashem.”
Special thanks were extended to Dominic Selvaggio and Thomas LaRusso, supervisors at Carlo Minuto Carting, for their cooperation and understanding. “I’m grateful to Carlo Minuto Carting for accommodating our request and recognizing the unique needs of our community during Pesach,” he says.
Trustee Eisenbach also issued a reminder regarding bulk pickup: construction debris will not be collected. “People shouldn’t assume they can remodel their house and put out all the construction waste before Pesach,” he tells Monsey Scoop. “That’s not considered regular bulk and won’t be picked up. Bulk refers to household items like couches, tables, chairs, and dressers.”
