The Town of Ramapo Highway Department has expanded its overnight snow-removal assistance to the Village of Spring Valley, increasing resources as cleanup efforts continue following the recent storm.
Officials said that two trucks currently operating in Spring Valley will remain in service with overnight crews working until approximately 4:00 to 5:00 a.m. In addition, three more trucks have been added, bringing the total to five snow-removal vehicles now assisting the village.
As part of the coordinated response, Town of Ramapo highway officials met with Spring Valley Mayor Vital and Trustee Kaufman to review conditions and identify priority roadways and critical streets requiring immediate attention. The meeting helped ensure resources are being directed where they are needed most.
The expanded response is being carried out under the leadership of Town of Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht and Ramapo Highway Superintendent Fred Brinn, with crews working tirelessly to assist Spring Valley and restore safe travel conditions for residents.
Snow-removal operations are expected to continue overnight and into the early morning hours as crews address priority areas.
