SPRING VALLEY: Third Crash in Two Days at South Cole Avenue and Route 59 Following New Traffic Pattern

On Tuesday evening at approximately 10:45 p.m., an MVA occurred at the intersection of South Cole Avenue and Route 59 in Spring Valley. Hatzoloh EMS and Spring Valley Police responded to the scene, where injuries were reported.

This marks the third crash at this intersection in less than 48 hours. All three incidents took place following the recent implementation of a new traffic rule that restricts drivers on South Cole Avenue to make only right turns onto Route 59. The cause of the latest accident is still under investigation, and it remains unclear whether the altered traffic pattern played a role.

As previously reported by Monsey Scoop, the new right-turn-only regulation officially went into effect on Monday morning following a vote by the Village Board.

  1. The only thing that these accidents happening has to do with the new traffic pattern is that people are not following it, I live over there and see these accidents happen
