SPRING VALLEY: Route 59 Bridge Reconstruction Nears Completion; Deputy Mayor Eisenbach Provides Update

Reconstruction of the Route 59 Bridge continues to make steady progress, with the project remaining on schedule for completion by the end of August, according to the latest update provided by Deputy Mayor Yisroel Eisenbach.

Eisenbach said he has remained in close contact with the project’s management team and reported that construction is moving forward as planned. The next major milestone is set for Tuesday, August 11, when crews are expected to begin pouring the new sidewalks on the bridge.

In addition to work on the bridge deck, construction crews are repairing damaged concrete beneath the bridge along Pascack Road. Those repairs are progressing alongside the remaining bridge improvements, which are designed to strengthen the structure and improve its long-term safety and durability.

“I’m pleased to report that the Route 59 project continues to move forward well and remains on track for completion by the end of August,” Eisenbach said. “The upcoming sidewalk work is another important step toward getting this project completed and reopening this critical connection for our community. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation throughout the construction.”

Village officials say they will continue monitoring the project’s progress and providing updates as additional milestones are reached. Once completed, the bridge is expected to restore a key transportation link for residents, commuters, pedestrians, and local businesses affected by the ongoing closure and detours.
