On Friday afternoon at approximately 2:15 p.m., Spring Valley firefighters responded to a reported structure fire on Stephen Place. Upon arrival, crews discovered a cabinet burning inside a residence.
Thanks to the swift response of the Spring Valley Fire Department, the blaze was quickly extinguished before it could spread further. Mutual aid was provided by the Monsey, South Spring Valley, and Hillcrest Fire Departments. Chaverim of Rockland and Ramapo Police also assisted at the scene.
No injuries were reported.
