The Village of Spring Valley Board of Trustees promoted Sergeant Brendan Dowling to the rank of lieutenant during its meeting Tuesday night.
Lieutenant Dowling will fill the lieutenant position left vacant following the recent retirement of Jack Bosworth, who served the Spring Valley Police Department as both a lieutenant and deputy chief.
Dowling’s promotion applies to the rank of lieutenant.
