The Village of Spring Valley Police Department is urging all drivers and passengers to buckle up as they ramp up enforcement for the national “Click It or Ticket” campaign.
Officers will be on patrol specifically watching for seatbelt violations, reminding the public that wearing a seatbelt isn’t optional—it’s the law. Whether you’re just driving a few blocks down Main Street, stuck in traffic on Route 59, or heading home from shopping, the message is clear: buckle up or face a ticket.
“If you choose not to wear your seatbelt, you’re choosing a ticket,” the department stated. “Your safety is our priority, and we’ll be here to remind you—Click It or Ticket.”
The campaign highlights that wearing a seatbelt is one of the simplest and most effective ways to save lives in the event of a crash.
