In the early hours of Tuesday, a burglary was reported at Old Country Bakery, located at 156 North Main Street in Spring Valley. The Spring Valley Police were quickly on the scene to investigate the break-in. Hours after the initial report, a vigilant Spring Valley police officer on patrol identified an individual matching the suspect’s description in the vicinity of Lake Street. Upon noticing the police presence, the suspect fled, initiating a pursuit.

The chase continued on foot, with the suspect eventually taking refuge in an abandoned building on Lake Street. However, the escape was short-lived.
