The Spring Valley Police Department has released a statement regarding Thursday afternoon’s large police presence at the Gesner Drive apartment complex.
As previously reported by Monsey Scoop, officers established a perimeter around the complex before the Rockland Rescue and Counter Terrorism (REACT) Team responded to assist.
According to police, at approximately 4:15 p.m. on July 16, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the complex as part of an ongoing investigation into a shots-fired incident in the Village.
The Rockland Rescue and Counter Terrorism (REACT) Team assisted with the execution of the warrant, which was carried out without incident. No injuries were reported.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing but emphasized that there is no threat to the public at this time.
The Spring Valley Police Department also thanked the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office and the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office for their assistance during the investigation.
