Spring Valley Police Officers Complete FEMA Public Information Officer Training

Members of the Spring Valley Police Department successfully completed the FEMA Public Information Officer (PIO) Course this week, enhancing the department’s ability to provide clear, timely, and accurate information to the public during emergencies and critical incidents.

The specialized training focuses on effective communication strategies, media relations, and coordinated messaging to ensure the community receives reliable updates when it matters most.

Participating in the course were PO Estrella, Sgt. Jerome, PO Mata, and PO Gomez, with instruction led by Steve Hauck and Bill Beale.
