A routine investigation conducted by the Spring Valley Police Department took an unexpected turn Wednesday evening when officers engaged in a brief foot pursuit around the vicinity of 29 South Main Street. The incident, which occurred at approximately 6:30 PM, led to the recovery of a loaded handgun.
Sources told Monsey Scoop that the chase ensued during an operation by local law enforcement in the area. The quick response by the officers resulted in the successful apprehension of a suspect and the seizure of the firearm without any harm to civilians.
During the pursuit, one officer sustained minor injuries and is currently receiving medical attention at a nearby hospital. The suspect also suffered minor injuries after being subdued with a taser and is also under treatment at a nearby hospital.
