Spring Valley Police Arrest Nanuet Man in Armed Robbery at Total Wireless

On Friday evening, October 3, 2025, at approximately 7:25 p.m., officers from the Spring Valley Police Department responded to a reported robbery at Total Wireless, located at 39 South Main Street.

According to police, a male suspect entered the store wearing a mask, displayed a knife, and demanded cash. The store clerk complied, handing over more than $3,600 before the suspect fled the scene.

Following an intensive investigation, detectives identified the suspect as Alex Orbe-Jaramillo, 32, of Nanuet, NY. On October 6, 2025, Orbe-Jaramillo was located and taken into custody by Spring Valley Police.

He was charged with Robbery in the First Degree (Class B Felony) and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree (Class A Misdemeanor). The suspect was arraigned before Judge Sweet in the Village of Spring Valley Justice Court, where bail was set at $10,000 cash, $15,000 bond, or a $25,000 partially secured bond.

Authorities remind the public that a criminal complaint is merely an accusation and that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
