Spring Valley Police Arrest 21-Year-Old In Connection With Tool Theft From Work Van

The Spring Valley Police Department responded to a report of a past burglary at 37 Commerce Street on December 11, 2025, at approximately 12:35 p.m. The incident was reported to have occurred several days earlier, on December 6, 2025.

According to police, the victim reported that tools valued at approximately $2,500 were stolen from his work van. Following an investigation, officers identified the suspect as 21-year-old Yordi Palma-Jacinto.

Later that evening, officers located and arrested Palma-Jacinto. He was charged with burglary in the third degree, a Class D felony, and grand larceny in the fourth degree, a Class E felony.

Palma-Jacinto was arraigned in the Village of Spring Valley Justice Court before Judge Sweet and was released on his own recognizance.

Police emphasized that a criminal complaint is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
