SPRING VALLEY: Morning Fire at Summit Ave Apartment; Chaverim Transports Elderly Residents to Safety

On Sunday morning at approximately 8:09 AM, firefighters from multiple departments and emergency personnel responded to a structure fire in an apartment at a complex on Summit Avenue near Route 59. Sources tell Monsey Scoop the fire was sparked by an oxygen tank. One individual was transported to the hospital.

In a Kiddush Hashem display, Chaverim of Rockland brought in two school buses to safely transport elderly residents from the affected building to the Spring Valley Police Station. Spring Hill EMS assisted on scene.
