Detectives from the Ramapo Police Department (RPD) have arrested a 33-year-old male from Spring Valley in connection to a series of larcenies from vehicles in the Village of Airmont and the Town of Ramapo. The arrest on Monday, September 18, followed a detailed investigation into the crimes that transpired in August 2023.
The suspect, who is currently detained in Rockland County Jail on unrelated charges, faces a barrage of charges in relation to the recent larcenies. His charges include 5 counts of Grand Larceny 4th degree, 25 counts of Petit Larceny, 6 counts of Conspiracy 5th degree, 20 counts of Conspiracy 6th degree, and 4 counts of Criminal Mischief 4th degree. Arraignments concerning the larceny charges will be held at both the Town of Ramapo and Village of Airmont Justice Courts on upcoming dates.
As Monsey Scoop reported on September 1st, another individual, a 26-year-old male also from Spring Valley, was taken into custody by RPD detectives in connection to the same series of vehicle larcenies. His charges encompass 6 counts of Grand Larceny 4th degree, 25 counts of Petit Larceny, 7 counts of Conspiracy 5th degree, 20 counts of Conspiracy 6th degree, and 3 counts of Criminal Mischief 4th degree. Following his arraignment before Honorable Judge Straus, a bail amount was set and the accused was remanded to Rockland County Jail.
