Spring Valley Man Fatally Stabbed in Queens Bike Dispute; Suspect Charged with Murder

A 22-year-old man from Spring Valley, was fatally stabbed during a dispute over a bicycle early Monday morning in the Corona section of Queens, according to the NYPD.

The victim, identified as Anderson Archila-Martinez, was found just after midnight with a stab wound to the stomach near the intersection of Junction Boulevard and Roosevelt Avenue. He was transported by EMS to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say the altercation broke out shortly before 1:00 a.m., and a 33-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene. The suspect, identified as Nelson Torres, has since been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. Attorney information for Torres was not immediately available.
