A 24-year-old Spring Valley man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing on Rosehill Oval last week that left another man injured, Spring Valley Police announced Thursday.
As Monsey Scoop previously reported, officers responded to 5 Rosehill Oval at approximately 7:11 p.m. on September 3 following a report of a stabbing.
Police said officers located an adult male victim suffering from stab wounds to his face. Investigators determined that the victim had been stabbed by his stepbrother, who fled the scene before police arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Following an investigation by Spring Valley detectives, 24-year-old Kashief Kobe Hall of Spring Valley was arrested on September 9.
Hall was charged with Assault in the First Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree.
He was arraigned in Spring Valley Justice Court before Judge Sweet and was released on his own recognizance.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the Spring Valley Police Department at 845-356-7400 or email tips@villagespringvalley.org.
The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

Released on his own recognizance? Why, so he can do it again, l”r?
He’s facing up to 25 years in prison; what incentive does he have not to run away?
At least have him on “ankle bracelet monitoring.” Seems like those enforcing the
laws are dumber than those breaking them.
