Spring Valley Man Arrested in Beacon for Fatal Hit-and-Run

Police in Beacon N.Y.  have apprehended Manuel Roldan, 26, of Spring Valley, who was wanted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident in Rockland County.

Roldan was found at the Beacon train station following a report of a suspicious individual looking into cars. Upon arrival, a Spanish-speaking officer questioned Roldan, who initially provided a false name.

Through further investigation, authorities confirmed Roldan’s true identity and discovered he was wanted for fleeing the scene of a deadly accident.

Sources tell Monsey Scoop that the crash did not occur in Spring Valley but elsewhere in Rockland County. More details are expected to follow.

Roldan has been arrested and handed over to the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office. He is currently being held in Rockland County Jail.
