SPRING VALLEY: Kitchen Fire at Kearsing Parkway Apartment Complex Spreads to Attic; Emergency Personnel Respond, No Injuries Reported

A fire that broke out early Sunday morning at 191 Kearsing Parkway originated in the kitchen of a top-floor apartment and extended into the attic, also impacting one additional apartment.

The incident was reported at approximately 7:00 a.m. The Spring Valley Fire Department responded and was assisted by mutual aid from the Monsey Fire Department, South Spring Valley Fire Department, Hillcrest Fire Department, Nanuet Fire Department, Pearl River Fire Department, and West Nyack Fire Department.

Volunteers from Chaverim of Rockland assisted at the scene and brought a bus to provide warmth and shelter for displaced residents. Hatzoloh EMS, and Spring Hill EMS were also on scene, along with the Spring Valley Police Department.

Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control and fully extinguish the fire.
