On Monday afternoon, the Village of Spring Valley held its annual reorganization meeting, during which Mayor Alan Simon appointed Trustee Joseph Gross as the new Deputy Mayor. Gross succeeds Trustee Yisroel Eisenbach, who remains an active member of the village board.
In a statement to Monsey Scoop, Trustee Yisroel Eisenbach reaffirmed his commitment to serving the community, saying, “No matter the role or title, I will continue to assist my constituents in any way I can.” Eisenbach, known for his dedication to addressing residents’ needs, also expressed his support for the new Deputy Mayor, adding, “I wish Joseph Gross much success in his new role and look forward to continuing to work together for the benefit of Spring Valley.”
The newly appointed Deputy Mayor, Joseph Gross, also boasts a strong record of assisting residents and working diligently behind the scenes to benefit the community. His experience is expected to bring valuable leadership to the role.
Additionally, Justin Sweet, formerly a clerk in Clarkstown, was sworn in as a village judge for a one-year term. Sweet fills the vacancy left by Judge Chris Exias, who recently transitioned to the Rockland Family Court, as Monsey Scoop previously reported.
