Early this morning, Chaverim of Rockland delivered generators and floodlights to the New Satmar Cheder building on South Madison Avenue after a technical issue caused the school’s main generator to fail.
Chaverim volunteers quickly mobilized, setting up temporary generators and lighting throughout the building to ensure that the children could daven shachris and eat breakfast safely and comfortably.
Volunteers later helped diagnose the issue with the school’s main generator, allowing it to eventually be restored to full operation.
