A frightening incident unfolded Sunday at approximately 7:00 p.m. when an individual reportedly brandished a knife and charged toward multiple people, including children, in the parking lot of the Spring Valley Marketplace (Bingo).
According to information obtained by Monsey Scoop, Chaverim of Rockland volunteers who were in the area quickly responded and maintained visual contact with the suspect while providing updates to responding Spring Valley Police officers.
Spring Valley Police arrived within minutes and safely took the suspect into custody without further incident.
No injuries were reported.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation by the Spring Valley Police Department.
