On Motzei Shabbos, a vehicle parked in a lot along Maple Avenue near the railroad tracks was vandalized after a brief horn honk triggered an aggressive response from a suspect.
Sources tell Monsey Scoop that the driver lightly pressed the horn, at which point a suspect became agitated and shattered the vehicle’s glass before fleeing the scene. Chaverim of Rockland and Spring Valley Police Department responded, but the suspect had already left the area.
A police report was filed and charges have been lodged as the investigation continues. Officials emphasized that the incident is not being treated as a hate crime.
Monsey Scoop has obtained CCTV footage capturing the incident. Chaverim of Rockland’s UAV (drone) unit also canvassed the area in an effort to locate the fleeing suspect, but he was gone before responders arrived.
I don’t see anything wrong here. The guy blew his horn at the poor guy, walking down the sidewalk just to be an idiot. The guy in the car got what was coming to him.
