Spring Hill EMS has reached a major milestone in its service to the community with the official integration of its Paramedic-Level Advanced Life Support (ALS) services within the Town of Ramapo’s 911 emergency system.
Beginning at 10 a.m. today, Spring Hill EMS Paramedics will respond alongside the organization’s 150+ EMTs to high-priority medical emergencies throughout the town, bringing advanced care directly to those who need it most.
“For years, Spring Hill EMS has proudly served as a BLS provider in the 911 system,” Chief Eli Ungar told Monsey Scoop. “With the addition of ALS, our team can now provide advanced interventions including cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, ventilator care, and life-saving medications directly on scene. This enhancement allows us to deliver the most complete emergency medical care possible when every second counts.”
Since launching its ALS operations in June 2024, Spring Hill’s Paramedic Division has already responded to more than 740 emergency calls, including private and inter-facility transports for local hospitals and nursing homes. The ALS units are equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology, including ventilators, BiPAP machines, IV pumps, and a comprehensive range of emergency medications—many of which are new within the Town of Ramapo’s 911 system.
“We are truly thankful to the Town of Ramapo for their continued partnership and support,” Spring Hill EMS President Tzvi Needleman told Monsey Scoop. “Their collaboration played a vital role in making this upgrade possible, ensuring our community has access to the most advanced prehospital care available.”
This milestone reflects the dedication, training, and teamwork of Spring Hill’s volunteers and professionals alike, who continue to advance the organization’s mission of providing the highest quality emergency medical care with compassion, skill, and readiness.
