Spring Hill EMS recently conducted two rigorous extrication training sessions, providing its members with valuable experience in responding to motor vehicle accidents (MVAs) with multiple casualties and limited resources.
During these training sessions, members practiced essential skills such as scene assessment, triage of critical patients, life-saving interventions in confined spaces, and collaboration with fellow first responders. The exercises also allowed Spring Hill’s operation supervisors to improve their ability to initiate EMS command, acquire additional resources, and coordinate smooth EMS operations within a unified command structure.
Following successful patient extrication, Dr. Mao, Spring Hill’s Medical Director, ensured proper care during the transition to the “Emergency Department.”
Spring Hill EMS remains committed to delivering top-tier EMS care to the communities of Ramapo and Clarkstown, conducting regular training sessions to keep its members sharp and ready for action.
Monthly training includes hands-on scenarios and guest lectures, providing a comprehensive learning experience.
