SLOATSBURG: Second-Alarm Fire Causes Heavy Damage to Birch Road Home

A second-alarm fire broke out Sunday afternoon at approximately 3:45 p.m. in a second-floor bedroom of a home on Birch Road in Sloatsburg.

Firefighters quickly responded and were able to knock down the main body of the fire before it spread further throughout the structure.

Multiple emergency agencies responded to the scene, including the Sloatsburg Fire Department, Suffern Fire Department, Hillburn Fire Department, Mahwah (NJ) Fire Department, Faist EMS, Spring Hill EMS, and the Ramapo Police Department.

Authorities reported minor injuries as a result of the incident. The home, however, sustained heavy damage from the fire.
