Multiple fire departments responded to a residential structure fire at 165 Orange Turnpike in Sloatsburg on Saturday afternoon.
The Sloatsburg Fire Department was dispatched at approximately 12:51 p.m. and quickly went to work battling the fire. Firefighters from Monsey, Hillburn, Suffern, Tallman, Tuxedo and Mahwah responded as mutual aid to assist at the scene and provide additional coverage.
Crews remained on scene for approximately two hours, working to bring the fire under control and conducting extensive overhaul operations to ensure there were no remaining hot spots.
