A second-alarm structure fire following a reported gas explosion has prompted a large mutual aid response to the area of Schoolhouse Road and Circle Drive in Sloatsburg / Tuxedo. Multiple Rockland County fire departments, including Hillburn, Suffern, and Sloatsburg, are assisting at the scene, while the Monsey Fire Department has been dispatched to cover Sloatsburg’s district during the incident. Ramapo Police and New York State Police are also on scene. One burn victim with serious injuries was airlifted to a hospital. The incident remains active.
