The Skvere Rebbe, shlita, is set to spend an upcoming Shabbos in the newly-established Skvere kehillah in Bethel, located in the Catskills region of upstate New York. The historic visit is scheduled for Shabbos Parshas Re’eh, later this summer, and will serve as the official inauguration of the developing Skvere community.
Over the past two years, preparations for the new shtetl have been progressing rapidly, with the construction of homes, shuls, and mosdos in full swing. Hundreds of Skvere families are planning to relocate to the area, establishing a strong Torah and chassidus-centered presence. The Rebbe’s visit will be reserved for residents of the new kehillah, where he will spend an intimate Shabbos and offer heartfelt brachos for the success and growth of the community.
