ShopRite of New City Celebrates Grand Reopening After Extensive Renovations

The newly renovated ShopRite of New City officially reopened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Rockland County Executive Ed Day, CEO of Inserra Supermarkets Lawrence Inserra Jr., Town of Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann, along with local elected officials and community members.

The supermarket, located at 66 N. Main St., New City, has been undergoing renovations since last summer while remaining operational. The updates feature a modernized store layout, energy-efficient refrigeration and lighting, and expanded departments to enhance the shopping experience for customers.

The produce, dairy, frozen, and kosher sections have been significantly expanded, and the store now boasts a butcher shop, a seafood department, and a full-service bakery offering fresh, daily-prepared goods. The newly designed floral department adds a fresh touch, offering a variety of arrangements for all occasions.

Of particular note, the kosher section has been expanded to accommodate the growing Jewish community in New City. Shoppers will now find a wider selection of kosher products, catering to the diverse needs of the community.

Originally opened in 1980, ShopRite of New City has continued to evolve to better serve its customers. With these latest renovations, the store reaffirms its commitment to providing high-quality products, greater convenience, and an improved shopping environment for the community.
