Shabbos Simcha in Jeopardy After Fire as Chaverim of Rockland Saves the Day

Chaverim of Rockland sprang into swift action on Erev Shabbos after a fire broke out at a simcha hall on Wilder Road, just minutes before the onset of Shabbos.

With approximately 20–30 minutes remaining before zman Shabbos, Chaverim volunteers mobilized immediately, responding to an urgent request for manpower to relocate an entire simcha that was suddenly forced to shut down due to the fire. Members arrived with pickup trucks and personal vehicles and worked rapidly to pack and transport everything needed for the event, including food, drinks, tableware, tablecloths, and additional supplies.

Within a remarkably short time, the items were safely moved around the corner to an alternate simcha hall on Lime Kiln Road, allowing the Simcha to continue as originally planned without disruption for the family.
