Senator Weber Presents Eli’s Bagel Shop with New York State Empire Award for 28 Years of Service

In a ceremony celebrating over 28 years of service to the community, Senator Bill Weber presented Eli’s Bagel Shop with the prestigious New York State Empire Award. The event took place at the shop on Thursday, where Weber was joined by Deputy Mayor Yisroel Eisenbach and Rabbi Yisroel Kahan.

“For over 28 years, Eli Solomon and his wife have not only operated a beloved local business but have also warmly welcomed every patron, including those in need,” said Senator Weber. “Their dedication to the community shines through in their generous support and involvement, always hosting and helping others.”

Eli’s Bagel Shop, a staple in Spring Valley, has long been recognized for its commitment to the community. The Solomons are known not just for their food, but for their consistent charity work and willingness to lend a helping hand.

Deputy Mayor Yisroel Eisenbach also praised the shop’s contribution, saying, “Eli’s Bagel Shop has been more than a business to our town. It’s a place where people come not just for bagels, but for kindness and a sense of community. The Solomons embody the values of care and generosity that make Spring Valley a special place.”

The New York State Empire Award recognizes businesses and individuals that contribute significantly to the well-being of their local communities, and Eli’s Bagel Shop is a true testament to that spirit.
