Senator Bill Weber Re-Appointed to Key Committees, Gains Coveted Finance Role for 2025-2026 Legislative Sessions

Newly re-elected Senator Bill Weber (SD38) has been re-appointed as the ranking member of the New York State Senate Budget & Revenue and Disabilities Committees, reaffirming his leadership in these critical roles. He will continue serving as a general Consumer Protection and Education Committee member.

New for the 2025 and 2026 legislative sessions, Senator Weber has been appointed to the prestigious Finance Committee and Children & Families Committee. As one of only two Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) in the State Senate, Senator Weber brings a unique financial perspective to his legislative work. His contributions to the Budget & Revenue Committee have set the stage for further progress, and he is eager to leverage his financial acumen on the Finance Committee to advocate fiscal responsibility for New York’s taxpayers.

Representing most of Rockland County, a district with a high concentration of families with children living with disabilities, Senator Weber is deeply committed to advancing meaningful solutions for this community. Advocating for the disabilities community was a cornerstone of the Senator’s first term, and he is eager to continue championing the needs of these families during the current legislative session.

“I’m honored to devote time and energy to my new committee assignments and continue my service on multiple other vital committees,” said Senator Weber. “I am incredibly grateful to Leader Rob Ortt for entrusting me with these responsibilities and look forward to working collaboratively with my colleagues from both sides of the aisle for the people of Rockland County and all New Yorkers.”
