On Friday, Senator Bill Weber recognized Interstate Toyota, the largest Toyota retailer in New York State, with the prestigious New York State Empire Award. The ceremony was attended by prominent local leaders, including Airmont Deputy Mayor Shimon Moses and Trustee Morris Friedman.
Interstate Toyota, under the leadership of Teddy Maldonado, has been a pillar of the local community, known for its charitable contributions. Maldonado, both personally and through the dealership, has been instrumental in sponsoring holiday initiatives, including the distribution of turkeys ahead of Thanksgiving and other holidays.
Senator Weber’s office has collaborated closely with Interstate Toyota on one such initiative, packaging turkeys for veterans in the community. This partnership underscores the dealership’s ongoing commitment to supporting local causes.
Members of the Spring Valley Police Department were also present at the event.
