Senator Bill Weber Meets With New City Residents to Discuss Solutions to Local Issues

New York State Senator Bill Weber is actively working with the next group of constituents that have requested the Senator’s invaluable assistance with transportation and other concerns.

Having successfully resolved the transportation crisis for many Suffern Central private school students just before the 2024-2025 school year, Senator Weber has taken a proactive stance in assisting other parents with similar issues.

To this end, the Senator attended a meeting Monday night at a New City resident’s home. Attended by residents and local stakeholders, the focus of the night was a discussion of localized issues. Key among them was the transportation issues private school parents are enduring due to similar busing issues the Senator was able to help resolve in the Suffern Central School District. Issues with local roads, sidewalks, and lighting were also discussed.

“The key to finding solutions,” said Senator Weber, “is to first listen to the problems; only then can you begin to work on finding solutions. Given my long-standing strong relationship with town and school officials, I am hopeful that we can find common ground. My office will work tirelessly to achieve similar positive results as we were able to accomplish for Suffern Central students. I look forward to making a significant difference for New City’s hardworking, tax-paying families, as this has always been an important focus of mine and one I’ll continue pursuing during the remainder of this term and into my next term in office.”
